About Us
K55 Winery & Distillery, an unavoidable destination for connoisseurs of premium wines, is a testament to exclusivity. Formerly known as Janečić Winery, it was acquired by the Dugalić family in early 2023. In a modernly equipped winery and with modern technology and the highly professional knowledge of the owner, K55 produces 20,000 bottles of high-quality and premium wines annually.
Location
The K55 winery with vineyards is located in the continental northeastern part of Croatia in the Danube wine subregion - Erdut vineyards with outstanding terroir characteristics. Exceptional microclimatic conditions at the confluence of the great Drava and the mighty Danube, on the Aljmaška mountain plateau, at 150 m above sea level with fertile soil and a large number of sunny days, provide us ideal conditions for grape cultivations. On a 5 ha estate where 3 ha are vineyards, the K55 wine brand creates its magical wine romance with hand-picking of our grapes.
Winemaking
The varietal distribution comprises 70% are white varieties (graševina, sauvignon blanc, traminer and yellow muscat), and 30% are red varieties (cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, zweigelt and the indigenous variety kadarka).
The facility also has a tasting room where guests can, beside great wine and a unique environment, enjoy local gastronomic specialties with a combination of tradition and a modern approach to winemaking.
Our Philosophy
Wine is an active participant in our lives that tells its own story at the boutique winery K55 with wine that literally emerges from the earth and sun every year with a vision of preserving it for the future. Our greatest luxury is that we also inherit one of the oldest vineyards in this entire area, and you can't plant a vineyard that is over 100 years old!
